Update: We are completely blown away by generosity of our supporters. You guys are the best!! 😻 When we started this fundraiser, we set the goal at $1500, thinking it would be a realistic amount. In reality, we do need more. This summer we've had a striking increase in contacts -- on a nearly daily basis -- to take in cats and kittens. Since the donations keep coming in (thank you thank you) we will continue to make slight increases to the goal amount until Wednesday, when we reach the one-week mark.

It may be late summer, but kitten season shows no sign of slowing down -- in fact, it seems to be speeding up! ACR is greatly in need of funds to keep up with all the kittens in our care! Keep in mind the costs of food, milk replacement, vaccinations, deworming, and flea and ear mite treatments, not to mention FeLV and FIV testing. If kittens are with us until they are old enough, spaying and neutering is also costly, and all the mommas are definitely spayed prior to adoption! A fair number of kittens come to us sick or injured, too.
